Los Rodriguez Washed Gesha
A delicate and fragrant cup reminiscent of high-scoring Ethiopian lots. It offers pleasant floral aromatics, a silky body, and soft citrus acidity.
We’ve featured several naturally processed coffees from the Rodriguez family in the past. These have typically offered fruit-forward profiles with bright, tropical acidity. The washed process used for this lot has resulted in a more delicate and aromatic cup. We’ve fine-tuned our roasting approach to bring these characteristics to the fore.
Bolivia’s Caranavi region offers ideal growing conditions for the gesha variety. The Los Rodriguez farms are surrounded by native forest and banana groves—an ecosystem that supports healthy plant development and thoughtful cultivation practices.
Initially focused on export, the Rodriguez family began farming in 2012 in response to a nationwide decline in coffee production. Today, they manage multiple farms across Caranavi and Samaipata, supported by a seasonal team of up to 300 workers. Their work has since been recognised with the SCA Sustainability Award.
