El Rocío Washed Sidra
This coffee offers the distinct complex purple fruit notes that we associate with the Sidra cultivar.
We’ve launched several Sidras from Ecuador over the years, and they have consistently displayed a distinctive purple-fruit character that seems closely tied to the cultivar. This is the first Sidra we’ve released from El Rocío, a farm run by Julio Ullauri in north-west Ecuador. Julio’s farm, along with others in the surrounding area, is still recovering from an exceptionally prolonged and intense rainy season in 2022, which forced many farms to close and caused significant losses in coffee production for those that remained open.
