El Oso Washed
A high-quality washed Peruvian lot offering sweetness, gentle acidity and a great finish.
El Oso, meaning “the bear” in Spanish, refers to the spectacled bears of northern Peru. The project works with COOPAFSI producers whose farms sit in the buffer zones of the Tabaconas Namballe National Sanctuary, helping protect the surrounding forests and their wildlife. Native trees are supplied for replanting, while discarded coffee cherry is composted and returned to the soil. Farmers also receive support through improved drying facilities and regular workshops, linking the protection of this landscape with practical improvements in how its coffee is grown and processed.
