Chelbesa Red Honey
The red honey process gives this cup a distinctive balance of dark fruit flavours, clean acidity and soft botanical aromatics on the finish.
This cup offers a great example of the honey process, offering some of the fruit-forward character associated with naturally processed coffees all the while maintaining the clarity of a washed lot. Chelbesa lies within the lush, semi-forested landscapes of Gedeb in Ethiopia’s Gedeo zone, where coffee grows beneath a dense canopy of native trees and false banana plants. Cherries from 476 smallholder farmers were delivered to SNAP Specialty Coffee’s “Danche” wet mill.
