Gesha Espresso Capsules
A wonderfully aromatic Peruvian Gesha, reminiscent of high-scoring Ethiopian coffees—light bodied and floral with long effervescent acidity.
Wilder García produces coffee in Huabal, a mountainous district in Cajamarca, Peru, where steep slopes and shifting mists define daily life. His 23-hectare farm, with 16 hectares dedicated to Arabica coffee, sits at 1,800 metres above sea level. Here, the cool air slows cherry maturation, allowing sugars to develop gradually, deepening the coffee’s complexity.
Managing a farm of this size is demanding. Wilder divides his land into two sections, pruning half each year to keep the trees productive while balancing the unpredictable nature of the harvest. Transporting coffee from such remote terrain is difficult—unreliable roads and heavy rains add further challenges—but Wilder is deeply invested in his land. Each season, he fine-tunes his approach, adapting to both the environment and the realities of managing a high-quality coffee farm.
