An incredibly full-flavoured Colombian lungo with bold, natural-process character.
We are thrilled to return to the award-winning farm of La Esperanza, the trailblazing producers from the Valle de Cauca in western Colombia.
An experimental cultivar, and unique to the CGLE farms, Mandela was developed by the team at CENICAF, the Colombian coffee research centre, by crossing Caturra with Timor Hybrid, and then again with Ethiopian landrace varietals such as Sudan Rume, Daleco and Villa Sarchi, the result is a stunning coffee displaying incredible depth and complexity. This lot has undergone 48 hour silo ferment, followed by solar tunnel drying for fifteen days.
